SleepOver!

Azelin had her friend Kamber sleep over last night. These two are inseperable. Infact, after we dropped Kamber off at home this morning, Azelin was so sad she actually started crying! Silly girl. Anyway...They had lost of fun. Here they are eating popcorn and watching a Disney Princess Sing A Long.

Here are the girls right before we went to bed. They had a big ol' book and Azein was pretending to read stories out of it. She asked Kamber, "Do you want to hear Heart Love, or By The Moon Light, or Morning Sun, or.....". She gave her a few different options, all of which were made up by her, but informed Kamber that she would not read the story about the bears because then they would have bad dreams. They are cute together and play very well. Which makes me and Jaimie both very pleased.

Dirt! Yea! Fun!

I think Ethan was the dirtiest boy on the block this day!!!

Birthday Cakes

This evening we went to our friends Jessee & Jaimies house for dinner. They fed us some yummy BBQ chicken and oriental salad. And, by the way, as soon as I get the recipe for that oriental salad I will post it. It was so yummy. Anyway...After dinner Jaimie and I made her little girl, Kambers, Birthday cakes. And here they are.
Cupcake tower. So cute! We decorated it with sixlets.
Kamber loves the Little Pet Shop toys. So we made her a Cat Pet Shop Birthday cake. It took a while but we finally got it done. : )

Azey's Pedicure

The last few times we have gone into the salon, Azey has begged for a pedicure. But Aunt Michelle is never able to give her one. This morning though, Michelle called and was having a slow day so she asked Azelin if she would like to come and get her long awaited pedicure. Azelin, of course, excitedely accepted the offer.

I only had my phone camera, so the pictures arent so great. Azelin was so relaxed during her pedicure. She loved it.

Beautiful toes!!

When ever we go into the salon, Ethan goes straight for the broom or the little roll around chair. He loves to sweep. And when he is bored with that he loves to push the chair all around the salon. So silly.

Boys Will Be Boys

So, Ethan's new thing is to lick people. Out of no where, he'll just walk up and lick you. He did it to Uncle Zac and Derek the other day. He is so wild. Well, this morning I woke up to Ethan licking my nose. He thought it was totally hilarious. And to think I ever thought I would have a girly boy? No way! He is naturally a boy, a crazy, crazy boy!

Cutting Down The Apricot Tree

We have been wanting to cut down our apricot tree for a few years now. We have never eaten or used the apricots in the 5 years we have lived here. By the time they are ripe enough to pick, they are yucky and soggy because of the heat. Behind the tree is some bamboo and other little bushes that we are ripping out also. We are going to put some gravel down and get a trampoline for the kids. And us. Yippee!
After we cut the tree down we saw this nest with this baby bird in it. We carefully put the nest up in another tree. Hopefully Mama bird will be able to find Baby bird in the new tree. Who knows, maybe Mama bird is one that has killed itself by flying into one of my windows. Dont worry that since I posted that story, 3 more birds have died that way. Sheesh!

Cuttin' the branches down to good fire burning size. Yea, Me!

It Must Be Summer...

CAMPING...

I decided I would show you the cut on my cheek from that wicked branch.

I just stole these pictures from Jaimie's Blog. :)

Jaimie & Jessee. Ryan. Relaxing by the fire.

Ethan. Kean. They both had so much fun getting DIRTY.

I dont know what it is with Ethan and getting burned. He was sitting by fire playing in the dirt and a hot ash flew out and landed on his little neck. The first picture is right after it happened. He was trying to stay happy. If you click on the second picture you can see the burn better. So sad!

We did have a couple of wild animals running around the camp site. Not bears or mountain lions like we thougt we would see. But, two crazy little girls. Here they are pretending to be moose.

Roasting marshmellos, or rather burning marshmellos. lol.

There was a creek right by the camp site that the kids had a blast playing in.

Here are those crazy girls warming their wet bums by the fire after playing in the creek.

Most of us came home with camping battle wounds. Poor Ryan went with a sprained ankle, which is now swollen as ever. Jessee fell on his head. Jaimie, Kean, & Ethan were our burn victims. Jaimie and Ethan both by hot ash and Kean by touching a hot grill. Cameron fell on Kamber and Azey's "sand castle" and scraped his elbow. I got attacked by the branch I was trying to break and scratched my cheek & big toe. And Azelin got car sick and was puking in a trash bag on the way home. I think Kamber is the only lucky one who came out in one piece. LOL. Good times, Good times.

BBQs...
Azelin & Kamber are so funny. I told them to "say cheese" so they both turned and gave me these looks that scream attitude. And then said together in monotone voices, "cheese". Then went back to what they were doing.

Ethan and Kean. What cute boys!
Here is Ryan, Jessee, the back of Azelin, Jaimie, Kean, and Cameron just chillin' and talkin' after dinner. Kamber and Ethan were probably over on the neighbors very sloped driveway getting ready to haul butt down onto the road. Yee-Haw!
AND WATER FIGHTS.

Azelin, Kamber, and Ethan getting ready for a water balloon fight. Except when it came time for war, Ethan did his best to stay in the background so that he wouldnt get hit.

The girls taking turns nailing each other with water balloons and then whining that they got hit. lol

You Know You Live In St. George When...

You have to wait 'til 9:00 p.m., when it has finally cooled down to 97 degrees, to mow your lawn. Good work, Hun!! : )

Ethan's Turn To Do The Tagging

Every day is an adventure. Today Ethan got ahold of our return address stamper. Every wall in my living room and down my hall, & the coffee table now say: The Cruz Family and our address. Sheesh! I guess I better grab the 409 and see how well it will come off...

Cleaning House

Today as I was getting ready to vaccum, I asked Ethan to pick up his toys from off the floor. This is where he put them. What a silly boy.

Then I found him hiding under the high chair. He's so funny cuz sometimes he is ok with the vaccum and sometimes he hates it. He must have thought this would be a safe spot.

And now I have a confession to make...
I am the absolute worst when it comes to folding and putting away laundry. Yes, Debbie, this is a different mount everest laundry pile from the one we were discussing the other day. Most of the time Im pretty good at keeping the rest of the house clean. Its just this dang laundry pile that gets me every time...hhhmmm...

Crazy, Crazy Kids

You know with a devilish smile like this, that Ethan is on a mission and it cant be good.

Oh, maybe I was wrong. He is just pretending to cook with his pans. But, wait! That is a slush he is pooring in those pans of his...this will only amount to a sticky mess. And I dont do sticky messes....I will just take the slush away and problem solved. For me atleast...

Taking the slush away didnt go over well with Ethan. I ticked him off. And when he is mad he runs straight to the garbage can to get something to throw. He chooses to get someting out of the garbage can because he knows Mom thinks this is "kuck-ku".

He finally chooses a Coke box and chucks it across the kitchen. Then he is better and back to his pans he goes... I think my kids have anger management issues. I wonder where this came from? heehee?

You are all posting about your music choice on your blogs, so I thought I would join in. The music that I have on my blog are either songs that Azey and I like to sing to while driving in the car. Such as, the Blue October & Incubus. Or, they are songs that we listen to at home when we are hanging out as a family. Such as, all of the Fatboy Slim & Vitamin String Quartet. All of the songs on my playlist are our family fav's.
I am going to go ahead and add one song by Static X to my playlist. Static X is one of my favorite bands. Wayne Static, who is the lead singer, reminds me of cousin Jake. And its kind of funny, because Jake has actually met Wayne Static. Ryan says that this type of music is offensive to most people. So, if you dont like it, skip it...
The song that Im adding is called "Im With Stupid". The song was written about a true happening in California. These people were going on vacation, so they asked their neighbors to keep an eye on their house. Well, one night the man and woman who were watching the house for their nieghbors, noticed a burglar inside. So, they took a shovel and hit the burglar over the head and then hog tied him until the police could get there. I find it kind of funny....heehee

"You stand up for what you believe in, even if it gets in the way of what other people think. You are proud of yourself and your accomplishments and you enjoy letting people know that."

And, The Top Pop Award Goes To...

Azey and Ethan gave Ryan the "top pop" award with a little poem that reads:
"this 'pop' corn is nice and fluffy, these blow 'pops' are good and sweet, these 'pop' rocks are lots of fun, these 'pop' tarts are a yummy treat! But, out of all the 'pops' we know, youre the BEST from head to toe." Then we made him breakfast in bed, except he was on the couch watching CSI. And now he is just relaxing, and he deserves it! Happy Fathers Day to all the Dads. Im sure you all deserve top pop awards!
