Should I Be Worried?

So I walk into the kitchen last night and there is Ethan marching around in Aunt Abby's high heels! He was having so much fun.

The kid lets Azey put fingernail polish and makeup on him, and now this?
I dont know about him... :)

What Helpful Children I Have...

The other day I went to Costco and bought a few things that we needed, one of which was toilett paper. Each roll of toilett paper was individually wrapped. Until my kids got to them...

Azelin and Ethan unwrapped each and every roll all by themselves. And they were so very proud for being so helpful.

The only thing I could do was roll my eyes and laugh....and grab the camera, of course.

Twilight

I havent blogged in a few days because I have decided to read the Twilight books. I have finished Twilight and New Moon and am so very anxious to read the other two. My only question to myself is why I waited so long to read these wonderful books? Im also very excited for the movie to come out, hence the count down. :)

No More Clogged Tear Duct- Hooray!

Ethan had his eye surgery today. We went in at 8:00 am. And were back home by 9:30 am. Super Fast. He is sleeping right now. The anisthesia hasnt quite worn off yet. :) The pupil in the eye that they worked on is super dialated, but he is doing good. We just have to keep an anitbiotic ointment on his eye and go in for a follow up appointment on the 4th of Septemeber.

My Foot Is Infected

So, today I went ahead and went to InstaCare because my foot was still swollen but more red and tender than it has been. It is infact infected. So, the doctor prescribed me with an anitbiotic and some prescription strength anti-itch cream. That is the update and conclusion to my foot experience. :)

What In The Hell Is This?

When I was picking up Azey from School yesterday, I stepped on one of these evil little thistles. Yes, we figured out that it is a thistle, just what kind?

My toe looks a little better after soaking it in Epson Salt, but as you can see it is still a little swollen and red. It itches like crazy today.
Now, let me just tell you of my experience starting from the beginning...
I had just picked Azelin up from school and we were cutting thru the lawn to get to the car when I stepped on this "thing". It felt, at first, like I had stepped on a bee and was being stung. I kicked my flip flop off and pulled out a tiny soft prickly thing. Definitely not a bee stinger. By this time the pain had spread thru my whole foot and into my ankle. I could barely finish the walk to the car while holding back tears. Now, I consider myself not to be a wuss. I like to bitch and complain, but I can handle pain until it becomes excruciating. And it most definitely was excruciating. After an hour or so the pain had gone from my foot and ankle. However my toe was and still is a completely different story. It hurts. So, that was all part one! Part two of the story goes like this... Last night at about 11:00 I started getting flu like symptoms. I had the cold chills, headache, was nauseous, and my body was sore. I just went to bed in hopes that when I woke up I would feel better. And I did, thank Heavens. Except for my toe.
If anybody has any insight on what this evil thistle is, please let me know...

It Is Finally Official

If you saw my last posts, you know that Azelin missed her official first day of Kindergarden due to a dentist appointment. So today was her official first day. She is a Kindergardner! And she is very cocky about the fact. But that is ok. She is super cute. In the picture she is standing next to a bobcat, which is the school mascot.

All About Azelin

Yesturday, August 12, was Azeys first day of school. Although we dont really count it as her first. We signed up for a time slot at back to school night to go in yesturday for a "pirate adventure". We picked 11:20. So at 11:20 Azey and I, & Ethan tagged along too, went to her school and went on this pirate adventure. It was just an activity to familiarize the students and parents with the class room, playground, bathrooms, rules, ect. And that was it for the first day.

Here is Azey sporting her Hannah Montana back pack.

AND THEN TODAY...

was supposed to be Azeys "real" first day of Kindergarden, but she had a dentist appointment.
Here she is, ready to go to the dentist to get her teeth fixed. She had 3 caps and 1 extraction that needed done!! You would think I never had her brush her teeth. She does though, quite faithfully actually.

They had to put her to sleep to do her work. So after we got done at the dentist all she did was sleep for the next 4 hours.

And here she is after finally waking up.
I guess Azelin was telling the nurses all sorts of stories while she was at the dentist. Here is a story that one of the nurses told me that she was telling them. She said Azey had her totally believing the story too! She said "One day I was riding on my bike and my friends pushed me off. And I was bleeding really bad and my mom had to take me to the hospital." The nurse was feeling totally sorry for her until Azey said, "Im just pretending. I made that story up. Im an actress today." The nurse was cracking up. Azey, Azey, Azey, what are we going to do with you?

Our Kitchen Flooded...Again!!

So, last night at about mid night, Ryan went to walk thru the kitchen and it was totaly flooded! You cant really tell, but there was like 1/4 inch of water on the floor. It started going into the dining room too. So we had to pull back the carpet and pad and put fans on it all night. In fact the fans are still on in some spots.

Here is Ryan vaccuming up the water. I am lucky to have such a handy man for a Husband.
He had to jack hammer the concrete under the kitchen sink to get to the broken pipe. Then he fixed it and burried it back up. We have already had a pipe break under the kitchen sink before. So this time he is not going to fill it back up with concrete, just in case it happens again.
By 3:00 in the morning things were fixed and cleaned up as much as they can be at this point.
Good job, Babe!!

When Mom Is Busy Blogging...

I never had problems with Azelin drawing on the walls. She always asked for a piece of paper. Ethan on the other hand prefers my walls, doors, cupboard doors, floors, ect...

And this is just a small portion of the art work of the night...Sheesh!

When Dad Falls Asleep...

When Dad falls asleep, and the kids are bored. This is the sort of thing that can happen.
lol
Azelin took her turn...

And then Ethan had his. lol

Azelin's Fort

Azelin's Fort, or "cort" as she was calling it. :)

Azey in her fort. She is so cute.

Amen, Brotha!

Sorry about the title. You know me, I cant be 100% serious. Dont know why, its just the way it is. :) Anyway.....
I was just listening to my playlist and "I know that my Redeemer lives" started playing. I put this song on my playlist because it is my very favorite hymn. Without fail, every time I hear or sing this song, I can feel the spirit. Its the best when the whole congregration sings it all together. Sends the chills thru the whole song, because I know that our Redeemer lives!

Back To School Night

Azelin standing in front of the Bloomington Hills Elementary bus :) at back to school night. If you look just to the right of her head you can see the face she drew of herself, her name written on it. We really enjoyed back to school night. We got to hear the school song, see Azeys classroom, and meet her teacher, Mrs. Jones. Im very excited for Azey to be in Kindergarden. And I know Mrs. Jones is going to be an ausome teacher for Azey. More importantly, Azey is excited! So, school starts on Tuesday!! Hooray!!

Azelin Showin Us Her Stuff

For some reason the sound wont work on this video clip! So sad. Cuz it is so cute. Just go down to my playlist and click on "too cool" by camp rock before you watch. Its the very last song on my playlist. That is the song she is singing and dancing to. It is one of her favorites!

Updates And Stuff

We took Ethan to his Doctor appointment today. And he goes in to get his tear duct probed on Tuesday August 19. They call it surgery, but I dont like that word. He does have to have anesthesia but the whole probing process takes no longer than 15 minutes. Hooray!
And Azelin has back to school night tonight. She is super excited to meet her teacher, Mrs. Jones, and see her classroom. And she is counting down the days til school starts. It is fun to see her so excited. I just cant believe she is going to be in kindergarden!

Little Ethan

Ethan is doing much better. As of Saturday his fever was completely gone. That was the wierdest sickness cuz his fever was his only symptom the whole time. Pretty crazy, but we are still glad it is over. :)
Since Ethan was a baby he has had a clogged tear duct. So, when I took him to the pediatricain for his fever, He referred Ethan to an eye specialist. His appointment is Thursday morning at 8:30. Extremely early for us, but it will be good to see what needs to be done with Ethans poor little eye. We will keep you updated on that.

Lets Break The Glass Block!

Today we broke our glass block. We had been putting change in that block for a couple of years now. And we had $416.00 in it! Pretty sweet, huh?

Sick Boy

Ethan woke up this last Monday morning with a fever. And it lasted clear thru last night and ranged from 100-103.2 degrees. I took him into the pediatrician and he was perfectly fine other than the fever. So, the doctor told us that it must just be one of the wierd bugs that are going around and that was it. But despite not feeling well Ethan really kept in good spirits. It seems like he always does. Take the next pictures, along with the top one, as proof.

This was right after Ethans neck got burned by hot ash when we were camping. The flash was a little bright, but he was happy and smiling.
You probably remember this picture. This is after he burned his hand on the stove top. All bandaged up, but still happy and smiling.

And, this is when Ethan was about 4 months old. We spent an entire weekend in the hospital because he had RSV. And look at him. He's happy and smiling.

He truly is so good at staying in good spirits. What a tough little man.

Our Little Sheekers

This is our 4 year old German Short Hair, Sheek. She has very high energy so everytime we open the front door she runs! And it is always ok. We live in a good neighborhood. And she always comes back safely. Until the 24th of July. When she came back home it looked as if she had been attacked by another dog. She had chunks of hair and skin taken out of her head, butt, legs, ankles, just everywhere. The inside of her hind legs were completely raw and she was anxietized to the max. So, Ryan took her to the Emergency Dog Hospital (our vets office was closed since it was a holiday). The Doctor concluded that a car had ran her over and drug her down the road. All of those chunks missing were road burn! So, he prescribed Sheekers with some anti-biotic and told Ryan to clean her up and douse her with neosporin. She is still a little soar but she is healing well. And her energy level is back up too. : ) Back to crazy ol' Sheekers.

Ethan Has A 5 1/2 yr. Old Sister...

This is Azelin proud as can be because...

she painted Ethans fingernails!! She did his toes black too. But I didnt get a picture.

A Few Cute Pictures

Here are a few pictures I took before Nichole and Sergio ventured home.

Sergio forgot to say cheese. Its ok though cuz I caught him off guard to take the picture.

Nichole was prepared though. What a cute sister I have.

Avina and Azelin were sad that Avina had to go.

Phoenix and Melaney. So cute!

What a little stud.

Cute cousins!

An Eventful, Uncooperative, But Fun, Week :)

We didnt get to go down the cool big slides or get our faces painted for the 24th of July. But the kids did get to ride on the coolest horse ever. The whole thing was made out of horse shoes! They all really enjoyed it.
Phoenix

Azelin and Ethan

Avina and Melaney
We did do our own little fire works but I didnt get any pictures of it. I was being a big 'ol grouch and forgot my camera. The kids, of course, loved them though. : )

Azey and Avina giving hugs. They get along so much better now that they are both older. :)

Sergio & Nichole and Me & Ryan just chillin'
For some reason, maybe because it was pretty chaotic the whole time with all the little ones, I didnt get any pictures of Michelle and Josh together this time. sigh...
I cut and colored Nicholes hair & cut Melaneys hair. This is Nichole processing and Melaney cheesin' it with her new cut.

For dinner one of the nights we ate navajo tacos. Ethan fell asleep before he was even able to eat. All of the kids played way hard the whole week.

The boys even helped with dinner!
Ryan, Josh, and Sergio getting the dough ready to be fried.
And Nichole frying away.
AND...
The kids ran thru the sprinklers...

and made forts.
I didnt get the picture in time. It was kindof broken down at this point.

Gettin' ready to go swimming. Melaney wasnt very happy in this picture.
But before we went swimming, Nichole and I went to The Childrens Place to buy Avina some school clothes. Nichole did ausome with her shopping. She only spent $74 and bought a ton of clothes!! Like 25 items!! That is amazing!

Look at how cute they all are in their swimming suits!
Azey was very excited because Aunt Nichole taught her how to swim. I tried uploading the little video clip of her swimming but it wouldnt cooperate. Kindof the theme for the whole week. lol
Poor little Phoenix, and Ethan, only got to swim for about 10 minutes. Because, Phoenix accidently swallowed a bunch of water. Right when that happened I picked her up and held her up out of the water so that her little lungs could get air better. And I was just going to let her cough it out. But then she started to puke. So I hurried and got her out of the water and on the side of the pool where she continued to puke. It was so sad. When she was done I wiped it all up, and wiped her up, and then wiped myself up and put her and Ethan in the car and came home to take a bath. So, her and Ethan got to play in water after all. Just not pool water. : )
